Recently, we had the privilege of arranging a bespoke safari trip for Garin & Hannah's honeymoon and their kind words of praise inspire us. We hope you enjoy reading their experience as much as we did!
I'll start by saying Moethus Travel are exceptional, do not hesitate to book with Gordon and his team.
We booked two honeymoons with Gordon, one to Bali, Indonesia, which was unfortunately cancelled due to Covid - and which Gordon was very quick to arrange our refunds with the various operators and hotels, despite it obviously being a very tough time for his business - and for the second attempt we decided to live a life-long dream of a safari on the Serengeti in Tanzania. The Tanzanian trip did happen, and having just returned from it, we are still in a daze by how amazing it was.
Gordon was so hands-on in planning almost every detail of our trip with us. Given the delayed honeymoon we had a long time to think about what we wanted, and very specific ideas of what our dream trip should be, nothing was ever too much trouble for Gordon, and even up until the last week before we travelled, he was still happily replying to our questions and requests.
His very extensive knowledge of travelling, having travelled a lot himself, is heightened by the extended team of partners he works with. Through his contacts we were able to call on local knowledge to plan what was a once in a lifetime African adventure that covered the Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater, briefly touching on Tarangiere where we stayed in a tree house, and finally a week of much needed relaxation on Zanzibar.
The local expertise allowed us to travel at a time which was outside of peak season, but still perfect for seeing the Big 5, and the other animals in all their glory - we even saw a cheetah hunting - as well as perfect sunshine by the beach for the latter half. We occasionally had parts of the Serengeti to ourselves, which our guide said was absolutely impossible when visiting during peak season during the middle of the migration.
Planning such a perfect trip at such a perfect time while also managing all the added details that we insisted on, would have been impossible with any other company except Moethus Travel.
We are already discussing where next to visit and won't hesitate to work with Gordon and his team once again to plan another dream holiday. Garin & Hannah
